A great success for the young talent at PFERD TOOLS: two apprentices were honored as top graduates of their class at the IHK Cologne’s awards ceremony in the Musical Dome. In addition, the company received the award for Best Training Company for the sixth year in a row.

At the festive event held by the IHK Cologne in early October 2025, the 363 best apprentices in the region were recognized – including two outstanding young professionals from PFERD TOOLS.

Celina Dick and Mats Höfer, both training as Management Assistants in Office Communication, completed their apprenticeships with top marks and were honored for their exceptional achievements.

“We are extremely proud of our apprentices – they have shown great dedication and passion in everything they do,” says trainer Conny Kruse.

She also accepted another special distinction on behalf of the company: for the sixth consecutive year, PFERD TOOLS was recognized as the Best Training Company – an acknowledgment of the entire training team and the company’s ongoing commitment to developing young talent.

In the presence of IHK President Dr. Nicole Grünewald and more than 1,000 guests, the top apprentices from across the chamber district were honored. In total, around 9,000 candidates completed their vocational training in over 150 professions – but only 363 of them achieved the top grade “very good.”

“This award proves that our practical and appreciative training approach is the right path,” says Head of Training Daniel Gerz. “We are delighted that our apprentices are starting their professional careers so successfully.”

After the official ceremony, the award winners celebrated a memorable evening together with their trainers and families – an event that once again highlighted the importance of strong vocational training in the region.
