Description

The specially developed adjustable depth gauge enables the distance between the saw tooth and depth limit to be checked, and is the ideal aid for individually setting the depth limit of the saw chain and achieving optimum sharpening results for wood saw work.

Recommendations for use

The depth gauge should avoid contact with the file wherever possible, as this can alter the dimensional accuracy.
Saw chain manufacturers recommend a clearance of 0.65 mm (0.025") for the majority of chain types. The overall adjustment range of the depth gauge is 0.5 mm (0.020").
Always position the depth gauge for checking the filing result in the central area of the guide rail.

Risk of accidents due to incorrectly adjusted depth gauge! Therefore, always note the specifications, recommendations and safety notes provided by the saw chain manufacturer.
Not suitable for safety chains with safety link designated as low-kickback.
